Deborah Scott has been the Chief Information Officer at Harvard Medical School since September 2017. In this role, she is responsible for advancing HMS's information technology strategy.
Deborah has over 25 years of experience in information technology leadership, having held positions in both technical industries and higher education. Before joining HMS, she served as the Chief Information Officer at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and as Executive Director and CTO at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Over the years, Scott has developed and led talented teams that bring current advances in technology to benefit organizations focusing on engineering, research, and education. She is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in delivering successful results in complex environments.
